Musing

A sultry haze filled in the gaps between the steep banks of the river.  Everything soft and indistinct.  The heat was too much for the river.  It stopped trying to move downstream.  Rocks and trees doubled over in a listless looking glass.
A thousand birds and a million insects laughed at me with my pen and notebook trying to capture this summer afternoon.
